I’m a native from Dublin and when I was studying accountancy I decided to take a year off to travel. I went to India and met my French husband, who had a paragliding school in the Himalayas, and we settled in and lived there for 6 years. We decided to come back to France for my children’s’ education and that’s how we landed in the Minervois in  ’99. We have been living here full time ever since.

Life is calm and the landscape still untouched with rolling hills and vineyards topped by blue skies.

The most difficult part is getting over the language barrier (my husband is a local so that helped) then to understand the French culture, history and their passion for food & cooking.

One day while chatting to a friend I learned that they were looking for an English speaking person with fluent French in the estate agents office in Olonzac. Within a few days I had started selling, estimating and negotiating house sales as well as finding my way around the piles of French paper work.

18 months later I have decided to work independently and I would like to share my knowledge and experiences to help others in finding their ‘dream home’
